Sexuality and Sexual Treatment Training  
We have been executing "Sexuality and sexual Treatment" training programmes directed to professionals since the year 2001.  This is a standard training package consisting of 3 consequent modules.   Due to the reason that there is a big demand for our training programmes,  we have been preparing a waiting list since the year 2003.  For applications, the individual should  submit his/her professional CV, with his/her ideas as to why he/she needs to receive sexual training, and together with all communication addresses to  info@cetad.org.tr address.  When we open a new module, first we refer to the waiting list and ,if space remains we make an announcement.

1. Module: Sexuality Concept (General approach to sexuality and sexual problems)
2. Module: Sexual function disorders (Methods of receiving sexual story, evaluation, diagnosis, distinctive diagnosis,  basic treatment approaches)
3. Module: Sexual therapies (Sexual therapy techniques,  following of facts, and supervision)
In each module there is an integrity.  IN each module, different trainer will be training and for each module a separate participation document will be given.  1st Module is the section where the basic concepts will be handled.  Before completing this module, it is not possible to participate in the subsequent modules. 1. Module is open to everybody working in the area of sexuality, all doctors, psychologists, guides and consultants, pedagogues, social service experts, nurses, teachers and people from other disciplines can participate. IN the 2. Module only the clinicians can participate.   In the 3. Module only the psychiatry assistant and experts and psychologists  approved by CETAD Members of the Board can participate.

In 1. Module 24 hours of training is completed in 3 days, In 2nd Module 50 hours of training is completed in 6 days.  3rd Module consists of group training in 9 days of 75 hours and a minimum of 72 hours of supervision in one year.
Right of not to attend : In 1st Module  including  a very important excuse 1 - 2 hours, In 2nd Module (for 6 days training) 4 hours, in 3rd module (during 9 days of training) is 8 hours. If the applications exceed the capacity, CETAD members will have the priority.  Before each Module, CETAD Members of the Board,  will determined the participants amount the applicants.

3. TERMS OF ACCEPTANCE TO MODULE TRAINING
3. Module training is a programme to train people to become sexual therapists, and CETAD Members of the Board will decide if the candidates are qualified and ready to become  sexual therapists  according to the evaluations of the trainers.  Valid criteria in these selections is determined as below:

  1. To be a psychiatrist or psychologist

  2. To have completed at two years  of psychiatric experts training

  3. The psychologists should have completed clinical graduate studies, and should have adequate clinical experience, or  even tough did not complete his graduate studies, should have adequate experience to identify the psychiatric disorders

  4. Even tough his graduate studies are in other areas, should have completed his clinical psychology graduate studies and should have adequate clinical experience.

  5. The above mentioned are the minimum requirements.   The people who comply with these requirements  are additionally evaluated by training commission by the below criteria and are accepted in the 3rd Module by the decision of the members of the board.

  7. To be a suitable candidate for a sexual therapist

    1. Not to have any prejudices against the difference in sexual life and to have respect.
    2. To be aware of one's own values  and to be conscious of the fact that everyone can may have different values 
    3. Not to discriminate on the subjects of sexuality, sexual orientation, race, religion, political opinions
    4. To be able to have empathy and to be  able to understand what happened and respect it.
    5. To be aware of one's weaknesses and problems.

  8. To be able to keep the welfare of the  patients and their interest above his personal interests

  9. To take his job seriously and respect it.

  10. The fact that there is no doubt to his ethical behavior.
